2013 Will Be My Year!!
I hope the new year has been good to you all so far. I know we are not very far into it, but a lot can happen in a week. As I said in a previous post my two new years resolutions are:
To live a healthier lifestyle.
To do at least one Pinterest pin a week.
This will be my first official week to start this so wish me luck. I did go to a Naturopathic doctor this past Friday which was very interesting. I felt that was a good way to get started on my new journey. I have never been to a holistic doctor before but it does really make sense. I am a nurse in the medical field and can see many sides to medicine. However, I have to say that for the most part doctors treat symptoms and not the actual cause. This can just mask whatever is ailing you and in turn the problem just continues to get worse because it has not been treated. I am now on several supplements for different reasons but we will see. This doctor came highly recommended. If any of you have ever seen a Naturopathic doctor please let me know and tell me how it worked out for you.
The Pinterest project resolution I will actually start on as well today! My house looks like an evacuated Meth lab! HA! I don't know about you guys but the holidays tend to destroy my house. The clutter just mounds and I get all overwhelmed on top of the fatigue from the holidays. So today I must clean and organize as much as I don't want to. I don't know why but if my house is a mess my life is a mess. My mood is bad and it is always in the back of my mind. I have a lady and her daughter that cleans my house once every other week and I would not trade anything for them. I have to try and maintain the cleanliness in between but there is no better feeling than coming home to a clean house that smells so good that evening after they have been here. I have at least one Pinterest project that I will be doing today in my quest for a clean home. I will post that in my next entry as well as letting you all know how I am doing on my lifestyle change.
Happy Sunday all. I hope each and every one of you have a wonderful week ahead. Do at least one thing for yourselves that make you feel good. Make that a priority! We all get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of work and raising a family that we forget about ourselves and our well being. If we are not happy and healthy than we are not going to be productive in other areas either. Well off to clean. Talk with ya soon.
